3 Warrensburg Residents Injured in Wreck

Three Warrensburg residents were injured Tuesday evening in a two-vehicle Johnson County wreck.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at approximately 5:45, on Route Y at SE 251 Road.

According to the online crash report, a 1997 Chrysler failed to stop at a stop sign and drove into the path of a 2006 Toyota, striking the front corner of the vehicle.

The driver of the Chrysler, 43-year old Abram M. Britton and a passenger, 59-year old Sara W. Whatley, suffered serious injuries. Both were taken to Research Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Toyota, 30-year old Kyle R. Schalk, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center, by JCAD, for treatment.
