American Inn Business License Restored After Back Taxes Paid
The American Inn, 1217 South Limit, is now open for business once again after being shut down by Sedalia Police Jan. 9.
Owner Alex Patell told KSIS on Monday morning around 9:20 a.m., that back taxes have been paid and his business license has been restored.
City Administrator Kelvin Shaw confirmed to KSIS that Patell was issued a business license Monday morning.
The American Inn was considered by the City of Sedalia to be a nuisance hotel where criminal activity allegedly took place.
Sedalia Police had served a criminal search warrant at American Inn, 1217 South Limit, following a lengthy investigation by the SPD's Crime Resolution Unit that confirmed lack of compliance with an order to cease operations issues Dec. 21.
