Amy Elizabeth Harper, 34, of Nelson, MO, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014, as a result of an automobile accident. She was born on December 3, 1979 in Bakersfield, CA, a daughter of Gordon and Adrianne (Phillips) Booth.

On May 26, 2001, in Bakersfield, CA, she was united in marriage to Aaron Harper, who survives of the home.

Amy graduated from Shafter High School, Shafter, CA in 1998.  She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from York College, York, NE in 2003.  She worked as a case manager for clients with disabilities at Mentor Community Agency for the Disabled in Bakersfield, CA.  In 2011, she moved to rural Pettis County. She worked for the Houstonia Elementary School in the special education department as a teacher’s aid and substitute teacher. Amy loved being a teacher. She loved her students dearly and all the people she worked with.  She also enjoyed scrapbooking, crafts, listening to country music and going to the beach.  She especially loved her daughters, and being involved in their activities. Amy was a member of the Church of Christ, Blackwater, MO.

Besides her parents and her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Analyse and Avalyn Harper of the home; two brothers, Nick Booth of Nelson, MO and Chris Booth of Bakersfield, CA.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ernie and Judy Phillips and paternal grandparents, Thelmer and Pauline Booth.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, April 25, 2014 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia. Willie Sanchez, her youth minister, will officiate.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Burial will be in Lamine Cemetery, Nelson, MO.

Pallbearers will be Nick and Chris Booth, Alan Harper, Ben Eckhoff, Cole and Ryan Watring.  Honorary bearers will be Derik Stanley, Matthew and Jacob Sanchez, Brandon and Stephen Phillips.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The American Diabetes Association, in care of the funeral chapel.
