Thanksgiving week is upon us, and there is a lot of hustling going on this week as people prepare for the family gatherings.  AAA is reporting that more people will be traveling this Thanksgiving than in recent years, and 44.7 million Americans will travel at least 50 miles from home over the holiday.

For the first time in a few years, I will not be traveling more than 25 miles to visit family and friends and will be celebrating it with my family in Knob Noster and Sedalia.

The good news for travelers is that gas prices have dropped over the last few weeks, and that should make travel by car less expensive. Just remember if you travel, check for road construction and delays.  Missouri has a great tool from MoDOT that will allow you to look ahead and check if there are any delays.

Whether you're traveling via plane, train, automobile or bus, we hope you have a great Thanksgiving week.
