The Thanksgiving Holiday Travel period is upon us, with the bulk of the travelers getting on the roads, onto trains, onto buses or onto planes for the week. The bulk of the travel takes place from Wednesday, November 24 through Sunday, November 29.
Thanksgiving is next Thursday (Nov. 28), and a lot of people have been putting together the family gatherings and watching the weather patterns to see if travel is going to be treacherous. AAA reported that 43.4 million Americans will be traveling 50 miles or more during the holiday weekend this year.
Labor Day weekend is upon us and for many that means a chance to getaway. It seems that every year traffic continues to spike in the area as people travel to near and far locations. AAA is predicting 34.1 million Americans will journey 50 miles or more for the 2013 Labor Day weekend, marking a 4.2 % increase over last year's numbers.
