Police in Harrisonville say a man attempted to abduct a 12-year-old boy on Thursday as he was walking home from a sunniness on the square.

The suspect was reportedly wearing a mask and driving a black mini-van with blacked out windows and a blue sticker in the back window that read "revenge." The suspect allegedly pulled up to the boy and told him to get in the van in the area of Butler and Wall St. The 12-year-old said that he hit the suspect with his skateboard and fled the area.

Harrisonville Police are investigating the incident, and are asking anyone with information it the case to contact law enforcement through their TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
