Bernice (Dollie) Phillips age 96 of Sedalia died on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia.

She was born on January 15, 1918 in Pettis County daughter of James Van and Winnie Swope Ramey. She attended Fristoe School in rural Pettis County. She worked at Lamy Mgf. Co. and then as manager at Connor Wagner Clothing Store.

She was a member of East Sedalia Baptist Church and also The Jolly Elders. Bernice enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter; Shirley Jennings (Glen) of Burlinggame, KS, a granddaughter; Cindy Goodson of Sedalia, one sister; Edna Ramey of Sedalia, three great grandchildren; Lisa Williams (Manuel), David Goodson (Julie) and Darrin Goodson (Andrea), six great great grandchildren; Jeffrey Goodson, Katie Goodson, Alexia Goodson, Trey Goodson, Brandon Williams and Tia Williams.

She was preceded by three brothers and two sisters. Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 14, 2014 at Crown Hill Cemetery with Rev.

Tim Rehmer officiating. Friends may call from 8:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Monday at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be David Goodson, Jeffrey Goodson, Darrin Goodson, Trey Goodson, Manuel Williams and Brandon Williams. Memorials may be given to Crossroads Hospice in care of the funeral home.
