Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia will be opening a Walk-In Clinic very soon.

Chief Operating Officer for BRHC, Tom Bailey, said the Walk-In Clinic will open Monday, March 4.

Mr. Bailey added that nurse practitioners will be the primary staff, which can treat minor or acute illness at the clinic.

Some of the ailments treated at the clinic include allergies, cold & flu, ear infections, upper respiratory infection, sore throats and laryngitis, among others.

Bothwell emphasizes that the Walk-In Clinic is not for patients with emergency needs such as heart attacks, stroke or broken bones.

The Walk-In Clinic can also help connect patients without a primary care provider to the appropriate Bothwell physicians who are accepting new patients. Clinic records are electronic, so a patient's primary care physician will be able to see visit records, just as Walk-In Clinic staff will have access to a patient's Bothwell medical history.

It was noted that patients with private insurance will pay their office visit co-pay at the time of their visit.

The Walk-In Clinic will offer hours Monday - Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The clinic is located in the Healing Arts Center, at 3700 W. 10th Street.
