The Boys and Girls Club of West Central Missouri never stops when it comes to getting some new activities going in our area.  Basketball fever is quickly approaching and with it a chance to support our kids! The Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri will host March Mayhem, a challenge for area residents who think they can predict the outcome of the most anticipated college basketball games of the year. For just a $20 donation, participants can fill out a bracket declaring which teams they think will go all the way to the championship round in Indianapolis. Those interested should go to www.bgckids.com/events/march-meyhem and enter in payment information.

Once the donation is complete they will receive an email with specific instructions on how to set up their bracket through CBSsports.com.  Brackets will be governed by CBS, failure to complete a bracket by tip-off of the first game on March 19 constitutes forfeiture of entry fee. The Mayhem culminates at 6 p.m., March 17, when the Club will host a special event in the upstairs banquet room at Fitters 5th Street Pub, auctioning off teams favored to win. Participants will be asked to bid on their favorite team or who they think will advance to the championships. Brackets will also be available to fill out at the event.

I got to talk with Emily  Jarrett of the Boys and Girls Club about not just the March Mayhem, but also the upcoming Spring Golf Tournament, the Easter Honeybaked Ham Sale, and how the amazing Evening of Heart and Hope went.
