It was a night filled with high-stakes fun as Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri hosted Casino Night, presented by The W-K Family of Dealerships, June 13.

The event, featuring a variety of games including blackjack, craps and roulette, raised nearly $19,000 for local children.

“We are so thankful to everyone who attended, volunteered and sponsored Casino Night,” said Special Events Director Andrea Smith. “Sometimes with a brand-new event you’re not sure how it will go, but from the start there was a buzz around Casino Night and everyone seemed excited to be there.”

The night’s top earners of “BGC Bucks,” were third-place winner Alan Johnston, second-place winner Rhonda Ahern and first-place winner Jake Gieschen whose $6,500 earnings won him a trip for two to Las Vegas.

“Even though they weren’t playing for real money, our guests had a great time gambling and enjoying the atmosphere,” Smith added. “We’re happy Boys & Girls Club could provide local supports an opportunity for a fun night on the town for a great cause.”
