Smith-Cotton High School Class of 2019 early graduate Shelby Bradshaw recently auditioned for and earned a position on the University of Central Missouri’s Mulekickers Dance Team.

Bradshaw, the daughter of Brooke and Joe Bradshaw, danced four years on Smith-Cotton’s High Voltage Dance Team, earning letters all of those years. She served as a co-captain and then captain for three years, a rare accomplishment. She placed first runner-up in the competitive solo division at MA Dance Camp in Des Moines in July 2018 with a lyrical routine that she choreographed.

At dance camp, she earned All-Star ribbons (for outstanding work, attention and mastery of choreography) and has been selected with Honor Roll distinction all four years.

S-C High Voltage Dance Team Coach Julie Willadsen said, “Shelby is a dynamic performer who projects energy and joy in every step. She has been an exceptional leader, trustworthy with any task and well-respected by her peers. To put it simply, she leads by inspiring others to do their best. Her spirit is humble, kind, and always positive. She has always represented S-C with pride and I look forward to seeing her represent UCM as a Mulekicker."
