A woman and a young boy suffered minor injuries Tuesday morning in a rollover accident that occurred in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2012 Chevy Cruze, driven by 28-year-old Joylynn D. Allard of Carrollton, was on US 65, south of John Road (near Turkey Creek), at 7:21 a.m., when the vehicle hydroplaned, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned on its top, facing north.

Allard and a six-year-old boy were transported by PCAD to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. Both were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Chevy had extensive damage and was towed by Don's Truck Towing.
