
One Teen Killed, Three Others Injured in High-speed Pettis County Crash
A Lincoln teen was killed and three others were injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday afternoon in southeastern Pettis County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an eastbound 2001 Chevy Silverado, driven by a 19-year-old male from Windsor, was on McVey Road, west of Bohon Road, around 2:30 p.m., when the Silverado, traveling at a high rate of speed, traveled off the left side of the roadway. The truck then returned to the roadway and traveled off the right side. The truck began to slide, returning to the roadway once more and traveled off the left side, overturning and striking a grove of trees.
16-year-old Ali Brooke Schoenthal was pronounced deceased at PCAD Station #2 by Deputy Coroner Todd Ashbury at 3:46 p.m. The body was taken to Rea Funeral Chapel. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
The driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to University of Missouri Hospital by PCAD. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
A 17-year-old male from Sedalia suffered serious injuries and was also transported to University of Missouri Hospital by PCAD. he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
An 18-year-old male from Smithton suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by PCAD. It was unknown if he was wearing a seat belt, the report said.
The Silverado was totaled and towed by InMotion.

Pettis County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
According to an obit from Rea Funeral Chapel, Schoenthal was from Sedalia. However, the Patrol listed her as being from Lincoln.
Schoenthal was born in Marshall, and was the daughter of Terry A. Schoenthal and Ashley B. (Gillespie) Schoenthal.
