One Knob Noster teen was killed and four others injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday night in Johnson County.

The MSHP reports that an eastbound 2020 Ford Expedition, driven by a 17-year-old female from Knob Noster, was on NE 650 Road, one-quarter mile east of NE 301 Road just after 8 p.m., when the Ford slid off the left side of the roadway and struck a ditch, then started rolling.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by private vehicle.

Two passengers, a 16-year-old female and an 18-year-old female, had minor injuries. A 13-year-old male passenger had moderate injuries. All of them were transported to WMMC for treatment.

A 17-year-old male who was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report, was flown to Truman Medical Center by LifeFlight. He was later pronounced deceased at 10:22 p.m., by Dr. Anuj Shah.

The Expedition was totaled and towed by Warrensburg Auto & Truck.
