Sweet Springs Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Pettis County

A Sweet Spring man was killed in a motorcycle accident that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Pettis County.

The MSHP reports that a 2009 Harley-Davidson Syna Super Glide driven by a 40-year-old Sweet Springs man, was eastbound on US 50. When he struck the passenger side of a southbound 2017 Nissan Rogue, driven by a 60-year-old woman from Sedalia, around 3:15 p.m.

The Sweet Springs man was pronounced deceased at 3:30 p.m., by Pettis County Deputy Coroner Mike Hawkins. The body was taken to Rea Funeral Home.

The Sedalia woman suffered moderate injuries and was transported by PCAD to BRHC for treatment.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed.

Pettis County Deputies assisted the six Troopers on scene.
