Cockpit Odor Forces Unscheduled Landing in Warrensburg
A flight instructor and a student made an unscheduled return to a Warrensburg, Missouri, airport after smelling electrical-related odors in the cockpit.
The Warrensburg Daily Star-Journal reports that none of the Cessna 172 plane's occupants were injured during the landing about 4 p.m. Tuesday at the University of Central Missouri's Max B. Swisher Skyhaven Airport.
Johnson County Fire Protection District crews inspected the university-owned plane after the landing.
The source of the suspicious odor was not immediately available.
