If you've been sitting on the proverbial fence and trying to decide what gift to drop in the Community Santa boxes around the area, you better hurry!

Community Santa, a Pettis County nonprofit organization that coordinates gifts for children in low-income families, will continue accepting donations and gifts through Friday, Dec. 7. According to Director Carol McMillan, the program has been in Pettis County in some shape or form since the late 1970s serving on an average of 600 families and around 1,200 children a year for the last five years. The Community Santa Workshop is located on the back side of the State Fair Shopping Center behind Wood's and is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Friday, Dec. 7.

Toys can be dropped off at the Townsquare Media Studios at 2209 S. Limit in Sedalia, any toy donation site or at the workshop, and monetary donations can also be mailed to PO Box 43, Sedalia, Mo., 65301. If you need more information, call 660-473-2408.
