Cynthia "Chi" (Azurin) Rodewald, 56, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012, at University Hospital, in Columbia, MO. She was born on August 2, 1956, in Legaspi City, Philippines, a daughter of Edgardo and Teresa (Alvarado) Azurin.

On May 25, 2006, in Sedalia MO, she was united in marriage to Charles C. Rodewald, who survives of the home.   She was of very strong Catholic faith and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sedalia. She loved to teach and perform the Hula, Tahitian, and Polynesian Dance.   Besides her mother and husband, she is survived by two step-children: Brandon Scott Rodewald of Columbia, and Travis Brock Rodewald of Sedalia; four sisters: Jie Fuellas, Mariett Balsoro, Maria Cielo Azurin all of Legaspi City, Philippines, and Sydel Catabay, of Manilla, Philippines; one brother, Jose Azurin, of Legaspi City, Philippines, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
