New Art Exhibits Now on Display at the Daum Museum
An artists’ reception was held for three exhibits that opened at the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art on Thursday evening.
The members-only event featured “The Patrons: Unreliable Narrator,” “Lindsey Dunnagan: Temporal Terrain,” and “Growth and Decay.”
“The Patrons” display new work by Bryce Holt, a self-taught figurative artist whose bold, narrative-driven paintings combine pop art style with surrealist imagination. His work is on display at the Daum through March 1.
“Temporal Terrain” display work by Lindsey Dunnagan and her memories of growing up in Anchorage, Alaska, with dreamlike landscapes that blur the line between reality and memory. Her exhibit will also be on display at the Daum through March 1.
“Growth and Decay” features works by Arthur Gonzalez and Gretchen Scharnagl and present decay as a form of endurance, adaptation and ongoing transformation. This exhibit will be on display at the Daum through March 22.
Also coming to the Daum is a free yoga session, scheduled for Monday, Sept, 29 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The session will be taught by Dr. Nikki Freeman, Owner of Balanced State Wellness, LLC.
You must pre-register for the session here.
The Daum Museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m., to 5 p.m., and from 1 to 5 p.m., on the weekends. Visit Daummuseum.org, or call (660) 530-5888.
