On Friday at 12:35 p.m, members of the Mid-Mo Drug Task Force and Pettis County deputies responded to 4390 Vernon Road (south of Sacajawea) for a follow-up in a drug investigation.

Detectives and deputies made contact with Sergio Marcos-Moreno of Kansas, who is the roommate of Kenneth M. Delgado of Texas. Detectives were given consent to search the residence. Detectives located a small amount of marijuana, digital scales, marijuana vapes and a marijuana grinder. Detectives then seized the items.

And at 10:47 p.m. Friday night, deputies again responded to the address on Vernon Road on a call of a subject sitting in his vehicle listening to extremely loud music.

Deputies located the subject and contacted him. They reportedly detected the odor of an intoxicating beverage coming from the driver of the vehicle.

Detectives, while speaking with the driver, identified as Kenneth Delgado of Tomball, Texas, also detected the odor of marijuana.

Delgado reportedly refused to follow deputies' commands while they were investigating a possible DWI case. When deputies advised Degaldo that he was under arrest, he began to resist. Deputies gained control of Delgado and placed him into handcuffs.

As deputies were conducting a pat down for weapons on Delgado, he slammed his upper body on the arm of a deputy. Delgado was then transported to the Pettis County Jail for a 24-hour-hold.

Deputies and the Mid-Mo Drug Task Force thanked the public for their assistance in the investigation, and urged anyone with information to call the Sheriff's Office at (660) 827-0052 or the Pettis County Tips Hotline at (660) 827-8477.
