Dick Vitale Believes Final Four Should Be Re-Seeded [AUDIO]
The Final Four in Indianapolis, Indiana is set as Kentucky, Wisconsin, Michigan State and Duke will be playing for a shot to play in the national title game.
Dick Vitale joined Armen and Levack on 104.5 The Team Monday to discuss his proposed fix for the Final Four. And it's not too bad.
"Well I'm all excited, I think it will be great matchups, but I would like to see them re-seed teams when you get to the Final Four," Vitale said, "I would really love to see that."
Kentucky's hard-fought comeback win over Notre Dame opened the eyes of many following the tournament as the Wildcats faced their toughest test yet and still remain undefeated and have the Wisconsin Badgers waiting in the wings.
Wisconsin overcame a tough Arizona team that battled down to the wire, but Sam Dekker and the hot shooting of the Badgers helped them prevail in the end.
Michigan State fended off Louisville in overtime after the Cardinals tied it in regulation on a lucky bounce off a free throw put the game into an extra period. Michigan State held off Louisville to move onto the Final Four to face a young, but talented Duke team led by four freshmen.
Duke's defense shut down one of the most potent offenses in college hoops in Gonzaga.
"If they did re-seed it, it would obviously be #1 Kentucky, #2 Duke, #3 Wisconsin, and #4 Michigan State," Vitale said, "It would be Kentucky vs Michigan State and Duke vs Wisconsin."
Vitale brings up an interesting scenario, especially considering the fact that both Kentucky and Wisconsin look to be the best two teams left in the tournament, according to a number of experts.
