Disappointed In The Delays? Check Out Missouri’s New Wild Roller Coaster [Video]
Missouri's newest roller coaster, Worlds of Fun's Zambezi Zinger, was supposed to open on Friday, May 26, 2023, after a season pass holder preview on Thursday night. Unfortunately, it looks like we'll all have to wait a little longer to ride Missouri's newest roller coaster.
According to an update on the Zambezi Zinger webpage, Worlds of Fun announced, "It is delaying the grand opening of Zambezi Zinger as the park works through final ride testing and prep work on the new roller coaster. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to announcing the new date once testing is complete."
They gave no specific date for when the roller coaster will be open to the public.
That said, when you can ride the coaster, you can expect the following. A 2-minute ride reaching 45 miles per hour over 2,482 feet of track. The coaster is a hybrid wood and steel roller coaster inspired by the original Zambezi Zinger which was one of the park's original coasters.
According to Worlds of Fun, the coaster is "Packed with several moments of airtime, banked turns, and quick transitions, riders are connected to the feeling of an epic safari chase and fast-paced adventure!"
While we can't yet ride the new coaster, you can virtually experience the ride via this video posted on Worlds of Fun's Youtube page:
While it's been a long time since I've headed to a theme park like Worlds of Fun, it might be time for me to talk my friends into making a trip there to check out all the cool coasters, including this one.
