Evelyn June Page, 93, of Smithton, died Friday, June 5, 2015, at Rest Haven Convalescent and Retirement Home.

She was born June 2, 1922, in Smithton, to Charles H. and Emma Wild Williams Wagenknecht.

Evelyn was married to Claude Page on April 19, 1941. Claude preceded her in death on February 4, 2001.

Evelyn was a 1940 Smithton High School graduate, a mother and homemaker. She accepted Christ as a teenager at the Lake Creek Camp Meeting, was a member at Lake Creek United Methodist Church and presently a member at Smithton United Methodist Church.

Evelyn is survived by one son, Gene Page (Judy), of Smithton; one daughter, Kathy Burnett (Jim), of Overland Park, KS; two grandsons, Eric Page (Keith) and Andy Page (Amy); one granddaughter, Holly Frazee (John); five great-grandchildren, Aaron Frazee, Andrew Frazee, Caitlin Frazee, Lewis Page and Murray Page; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherry Page; and an aunt and uncle, Anna and Ira DeHaven, who helped raise her after her mother’s untimely death. She was also preceded by an infant sister, Phyllis Wagenknecht; and a brother, Virgil Williams (Pearl).

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jason Veale officiating.

Casket bearers will be Eric Page, Keith Higaki, John Frazee, Andy Page, Aaron Frazee, Andrew Frazee and Lewis Page.

Burial will be in Smithton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Smithton United Methodist Church or Lake Creek United Methodist Church.
