On Wednesday at approximately 11:40 a.m., the Pettis County Sheriff's Office, the Sedalia Police Department, and the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force collaborated to execute a search warrant on a nuisance residence in Sedalia.

 

The residence of 1213 South Carr Avenue has been the subject of numerous complaints from concerned citizens regarding narcotics related foot and vehicle traffic. Detectives with the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force conducted hours of surveillance on the residence that culminated in the search warrant.

During the execution of the search warrant, six (6) subjects were detained, including one subject, Michael Carter wanted as a parole absconder, who attempted to run out the rear of the residence into the waiting arms of law enforcement.

A search of the residence and vehicle ensued resulting in the seizure of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Of the six, two were released on scene as nothing illegal was located in their living area or on their person. The following subjects were arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail:

Charges have been submitted to Pettis County Prosecutor Tony Farkas.
The Code Enforcement Division from the City of Sedalia also responded to assist due to the numerous violations at the residence.
Carter has been delivered to DOC.
