Franklin County Sheriff’s Department Installing Bulletproof Security Window

UNION, Mo. (AP) — The Franklin County Sheriff's Department in eastern Missouri is installing a bulletproof security window in its lobby. The county commission recently approved a bid of about $25,000 for the project to install a window barrier between the public and employees at the sheriff's headquarters in Union. The public will speak to a clerk through a window before gaining access.
