Funeral Announcements for December 7, 2022

A memorial service for Roger Henry Sydow, 66, of Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Heckart Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.

A celebration of life for Kristine Kimery, 56, of Smithton, will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

A rosary for Michael Lee Freels, 54, of Sedalia, will be at 10:30 a.m., visitation from 11 a.m., to 12 p.m., followed by the Rite of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the St. Vincent de Paul Sacred Heart Chapel. Burial will be at a later date in Madison, Mo.

Funeral service for Karen Ann Steele, 78, of Sedalia, will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 7 at First Christian Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m., until service time at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.

There will be no formal services held for Agnes Marie Oliphant, 92, of Sedalia. Cremation arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel. Interment of the cremains will be held at a later date in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hartman, Ark.

Graveside service for Gus Paul Schultz, Jr. , 94, of Lincoln, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, in Union-Williams Cemetery near Cole Camp, Military honors by American Legion Post No. 305 of Cole Camp. Arrangements are in care of Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date for Nancy Deane Vaught Jett, 82, Cole Camp.

A celebration of life for David Layne Cormican, 50, of Sedalia, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Parkview Christian Church Family Life Center. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time at the church, Family Life Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Funeral service for Herma Katherine Porter, 97, of Boonville, formerly of Pilot Grove, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 at Pilot Grove Community Church with burial to follow in California Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8 at Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home Pilot Grove.

A celebration of life for Shirley Ann Alexander, 83, of Sedalia, will be held at a later date in January at the First United Methodist Church Celebration Center. Burial will be at a later date in Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Funeral service for James Monroe “Smitty” Smith, 87, of Sedalia, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12 at Heckart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11 at Heckart Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.

A memorial service for Gertrude Claudette Stoner, 89, will be held at Camp Branch Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Dec. 17. Arrangements are in care of Heckart Funeral Home.

The family of Carolyn Cooper, 80, of Independence, will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at Fox Funeral Home. where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery near Cole Camp.
