Funeral Announcements for February 22, 2023

Funeral service for James Mayo Ellis, 86, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at First Christian Church. Burial with full military honors by the U.S. Navy and VFW 2591 will be on the family homestead. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.

Funeral service for Leonard Leroy Townsend, 65, of Douglasville, Ga., will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.  His final resting place will be in Powder Springs, Ga.

A memorial service with military honors for Harlan Dean Burton, 69, of Sedalia, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Katy Park Baptist Church, where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at a later date in Salem Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

A Celebration of Life for Ray Mathews, 52, of Warrensburg, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, of Warrensburg. Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Graveside service for Judith A. “Judy” Bistline, 71, of Sedalia, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Visitation for David Carl Anderson, 76, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, at First United Methodist Church in Warsaw, where a funeral service will be held at 12 p.m.  Interment service will follow at the Calhoun Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Fox Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life for Carla Sue (Jones) Caldwell, 78, of Sedalia, formerly of Odessa and Union, will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

A prayer service for Christopher David Paul, 31, of Sedalia, will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 at Rea Funeral Chapel with visitation to follow until 8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Sacred Heart Chapel St. Vincent de Paul Parish. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Funeral service for Irene Lucille Viebrock, 87, of Sedalia will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Gardens Cemetery, Marshall.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date for Charles William Stetzenbach, 87, of Sedalia. Burial will be at Miller's Chapel Cemetery, Longwood. Arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
