Funeral Announcements for February 4, 2022

Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph William “Jay” Twenter, 93, of Sedalia, and Marvella will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Sacred Heart Chapel of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial with full military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery. Prayers of the Rosary will begin at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the church with visitation to follow until service time at the church. Arrangements are in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.

A Celebration of Life for Shawn Richard Davis, 44, of Sedalia, will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at Heckart Funeral Home.

A celebration of life for David DeWayne Werths, 62, of Sedalia, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4 at Rea Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, with full military honors by the United States Marine Corp and Sedalia VFW Post #2591.

The family of Rebecca L. Griffin, 63, of Sedalia,will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4 at Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Otterville. Funeral services for Becky and David will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at Otterville Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at a later date in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Otterville.

A Celebration of Life for Kristin Kay Wright, 77, of Sedalia, will be held from 10 to 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at Rea Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at a later date in Beliot, Kan.

A celebration of life for John David Husong, 51, of Sedalia, will be held Saturday, Feb. 5 at 2:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Warsaw. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4 at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Arrangements are in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.

Funeral service for John Earl McMullin, 87, of Sedalia, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at Heckart Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Potter Cemetery.

A funeral service for Charles Wilford Opfer, age 86, of La Monte, will be held at the Methodist Church in La Monte, on Friday Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. Burial will be at La Monte Cemetery.

Funeral service for Louis Edward Richey, 72 , of Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 7 at Rea Funeral Chapel. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 6 at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

A celebration of life for Terry G. Couts, 65, of Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the United States Army and Sedalia VFW Post #2591.

A graveside service for Delores Bertha Schumacher, 74, Belton, formerly of Cole Camp, will be held in the spring of 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Cole Camp. Arrangements are in care of Fox Funeral Home.
