Funeral Announcements for January 21, 2022

The family of Melvin Ray White, 64, of Sedalia, will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. on  Saturday, Jan. 29 at the United Methodist Church in Smithton with a Celebration of Life to begin at 11 a.m. Arrangements are in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.

A celebration of life for Sharon Lea Watt, 80 of Sedalia, will be held by the family at the Lindsey Pitts Funeral Home in Braymer, Mo., on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 1 pm. Burial of the ashes will be in Kingston Cemetery, Kingston, Mo., immediately following. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

A viewing for John R. Borchers, 100, of Sedalia, will be held 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24 at Heckart Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Memorial Cemetery, Cole Camp, with full military honors.

Prayers of the Rosary for Judy Ann Kraus, 70, of Boonville, will be said at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pilot Grove, followed by visitation, and then a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Pilot Grove.

Funeral services for Vern Dean Louis Hagedorn, 89, of Kansas City, formerly of Cole Camp, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Fox Funeral Home. Burial will be in Old Trinity Cemetery near Cole Camp.

Funeral service for Virginia Margaret Conaway, 79, of Marshall, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21 at Rea Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia.

Funeral service for Shirley Ann Singer, 89, of Sedalia, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Funeral service for Kay Beth Finley, 71, of Sedalia, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22 at Taylor Chapel Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.

A Celebration of Life for Shawn Richard Davis, 44, of Sedalia, will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at Heckart Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial for William Hudson “Bill” Labus, 93, of Sedalia, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27 at the Sacred Heart Chapel of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. A celebration of life will be held at Sedalia Country Club after the burial service. Arrangements are in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.

The family of Sandra Jean Oswald, 40, of Sedalia, will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.

Visitation for Paul D. Southard, Sr., 87, of Smithton, will be 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 27 at Heckart Funeral Home. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Funeral services for Donald Roy Kennedy, 96, of Sedalia, formerly of Marshall, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24 at First Christian Church in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial with military rites will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Arrangements are in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.

Arrangements are pending at Heckart Funeral Home for Joan D. Burkey, 75, of Sedalia.

Funeral service for Karen L. Culler , of Green Ridge, with family and close friends will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25 at Bethel Christian Church, Bethel, Mo. Visitation will be held from 10:30 until service time at the Church.  Burial will be at Bethel Zion Cemetery, Bethel. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. at Show-Me Christian Youth Home on April 9. Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
