Funeral Announcements for January 24, 2023

Funeral service for Jack Leslie Blackwell, 92, of Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25 at First Christian Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

A Masonic service for Earl “George” McConnell, 87, of Hughesville, will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at First United Methodist Church on Thompson Boulevard, with visitation to follow until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at the church. Burial with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Floyd Thomason Jr., 90, of Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 30, at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.   Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, immediately following the service.

A memorial service for Ollie Durward Dunn, Jr., 61, of Syracuse, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at First Baptist Church of Otterville. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Marines and American Legion Edgar Cole Post 304. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the church. Burial will be at a later date in Syracuse Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are in care of Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Tipton.

A private service for Peter John Gough Deakin, 79, of Mora, will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
