Funeral Announcements for July 17, 2024

A celebration of life for Samuel Stephen Potter III (Steve), 60, of Sedalia, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 19 at Rea Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

A memorial service for Josephine Thomas, 76, of Sedalia, will be held on July 20 at Heckart Funeral Home. The visitation will begin at 1 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 2. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Graveside service for Janis Marie Laster, 71, of La Monte, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 20 at Fairview Cemetery in Marshall. Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.

A graveside service for Larry Lee Veuleman, Jr., 87, of Lincoln, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 17 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Independence. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fox Funeral Home.

Visitation for Charles Eugene Nichols, 69, of Houstonia, will be 1 pm to 3 p.m. Thursday, July 18 at the Heckart Family Center, 915 South Ohio, Sedalia. Full military honors will be conducted at 3 p.m.

Funeral service for John David Bunch Jr., 74, of Herculaneum, formerly of Sedalia, will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, July 19 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will be at High Point Cemetery in Hughesville, with complete military honors by the United States Marine Corp., Sedalia VFW Post #2591, and the Patriot Guard Riders.

The family of Robert "Bobby" Jerome Johnson Sr., 64, of Sedalia, will hold a celebration of life gathering with family and friends on Saturday, July 20. Burial will be held at a later date in Maple Park Cemetery, Springfield. Cremation arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

A celebration of life gathering for Daniel Craig Deresinski, 48, of Sedalia, will be held by the family at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, at 3304 W. 32nd Street, Sedalia. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

A celebration of life for Mark Alan Lappat, 63, of Sedalia, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, July 26 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Graveside service for James L. Shepard, 90, of Sedalia, will be 1 pm Wednesday, July 24 at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Springfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.

No services are planned at this time for Dianne Louise Neth, 73 of Warsaw. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
