Funeral Announcements for July 21, 2021

A memorial service for Genice Cordelia Sims, 73, of Sedalia, will be held on Wednesday, July 21 at 4 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Graveside services for George William Brady, Jr. 93, of Sedalia, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 2591 and US Army.

Visitation for William Robert Long, 73, of Lee’s Summit, formerly of Sedalia, will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 25, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Funeral services for Alma L. Weikal, 91, of Sedalia, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, at First Christian Church. Burial will be in La Monte Cemetery.

Mass of Christian Burial for Sonja C. Corcoran, 80, of Sedalia, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 22, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Chapel. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Crown Hill Cemetery for Betty J. Pospisil, 88, of Sedalia. Arrangements are in care of Heckart Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life for Buford “Jerry” Schrader, 77, La Monte, will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in care of Heckart Funeral Home.

The family of Barbara Kay Mabry, 80 of Sedalia, will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at Rea Funeral Chapel. A graveside memorial service and burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 23, at Crown Hill Cemetery.

A graveside service for Nelly Violette Jeffery, 89 of Sedalia, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2021 at Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Funeral service for Wilma Faye Murphy, 78, of Sedalia, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at Rea Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.
