Funeral Announcements for June 1, 2023

A celebration of life for Robert "Bob" Paul Cranfill, 93, of Smithton, will be held at 11 a.m. June 2 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, with full military honors by the Whiteman Air Force Base Honor Team and VFW Post #2591.

Memorial service for Trevin Brice Umbles, 32, of Columbia, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 2, at Heckart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Visitation for Erma Lee Booth, 85, of Lincoln, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 16, at Mt. Pleasant Church near Lincoln with memorial services to held at 11 a.m.  Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Lincoln. Arrangements are in care of Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.

Visitation for Carol Jean Schweitzer Lang, 88, Pilot Grove, will be held from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday, June 3 with the Rosary beginning at 1:45 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 407 Harris St., Pilot Grove. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Pilot Grove.

A memorial service for Kathryn “Katy” Ann Laas, 38, Kirksville, will take place at the Scrivner Page-Dady Funeral Home in Stover on Friday, June 2 at 11 a.m., with the family receiving friends prior to service at 10 a.m.

A private gathering will be held at a later date for Doris Monika Evans, 78, of Pilot Grove, formerly of Columbia and Sedalia. There will be no visitation. Per her request, Doris’ body was donated to Still University for the advancement of medical research. Arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
