Funeral Announcements for March 14, 2025

Funeral service for Donald Wayne Van Buren, 77, of Sedalia,  will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15 at Rea Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the chapel.

Visitation for Laura Ruth Oelrichs, 90, of Mora, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15 at Heckart Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family of Nelson August Eckhoff, 87, of Warsaw, formerly of Sedalia, will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15 at Brauersville Immanuel Lutheran Church near Cole Camp where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Brauersville Lutheran Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post No. 305.  Arrangements are in care of Fox Funeral Home.

Prayers of the Rosary for Donald Raymond Kammerich, 64, of Pilot Grove, will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, March 14 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pilot Grove, with visitation to follow until 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Clear Creek. Arrangements are in care of Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Pilot Grove.

The family of James “Jimmy” Rodney Henson, 77,  will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22 at Heckart Funeral Home, where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Knob Noster Cemetery.

A graveside service and burial for Jerry Edward Brosch, 78, of Sedalia, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 13 at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Rea Funeral Chapel. Full military honors will be provided by the United States Army and Sedalia VFW Post #2591 at the gravesite.

There will be no services held for Matthew Ryan Woosley, 31, of Sedalia. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

A celebration of life for Mary Annette "Netta" Pettis, 69, of Sedalia, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 21 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.

A private family graveside memorial for Thomas W. Grimes, 84, of Lenexa, Kan., formerly of Sedalia, will be held at Salem Cemetery, Smithton. Arrangements are by Rea Funeral Chapel.

Visitation for Santiago Lorenzo Cano, 38, of Sedalia, will be held on Monday, March 17 at 5 p.m., followed by recitation of the rosary at 5:45 p.m., followed by the funeral mass at 6 p.m., at St. Patrick Chapel of St. Vincent de Paul. Burial will be at Nurio Cemetery, Michoacan, Mexico at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.

A celebration of life for Nathan Merdick Paxton Smith, 29, of Sedalia will be held at a later date. Arrangements in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

A celebration of life for Pamela Kay Chisholm, 67, of Sedalia,  will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 28 at Rea Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
