Funeral Announcements for March 21, 2025

The family of James “Jimmy” Rodney Henson, 77,  will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22 at Heckart Funeral Home, where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Knob Noster Cemetery.

A celebration of life for Mary Annette "Netta" Pettis, 69, of Sedalia, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 21 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.

A private family graveside memorial for Thomas W. Grimes, 84, of Lenexa, Kan., formerly of Sedalia, will be held at Salem Cemetery, Smithton. Arrangements are by Rea Funeral Chapel.

A graveside service for James P. Johnson, 66, of Sedalia, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22 at Calhoun Cemetery.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.

A celebration of life for Nathan Merdick Paxton Smith, 29, of Sedalia will be held at a later date. Arrangements in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

A celebration of life for Pamela Kay Chisholm, 67, of Sedalia,  will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 28 at Rea Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

The family of Treasa Janalene Stockwell, 64, of La Monte, will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22 at New Hope Baptist Church, where memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.

Visitation for Marcella Rose (Goodwin) Butler, 92, of Sedalia, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 21 at Heckart Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22 at United Pentecostal Church (Church on the Move), 2805 South Ohio Ave. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

A graveside service and burial for Ruth Christine Williams, 94, of Sedalia, will be held at Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Graveside service for Geraldine L. “Jeri” Holeman, 100, of Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21 at Antioch Cemetery near Green Ridge. Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.

A graveside service and burial for Edward Eugene Dotson, 83, of Sedalia, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 24 at Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Funeral service for Robert Franklin Sealey, 85, of Sedalia, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 24 at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Higginsville, with military honors by American Legion Post No. 305 of Cole Camp.

The family of Nancy Marie Brauer, 92, of Sedalia, will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 21 at Brauersville Lutheran Church near Cole Camp where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Fox Funeral Home.
