Funeral Announcements For May 17, 2019

Funeral services for Melvin Clarence Oehrke, 91, of Sedalia, will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 17 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors by the United States Army.

A Celebration of Life for Vincent Aurelius “Casey” Umbles, 53, Lake of the Ozarks, formerly of Sedalia, will be held from 1 to 2:30 pm. Friday, May 17 at Heckart Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery immediately following the service.

Graveside services for Vera "Louise" Hayworth, 87, of Bigelow, formerly of Green Ridge, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 17 at Green Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.

A family visitation for Christopher Alan Johnson, 56, of Dresden, will be held on Saturday, May 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. with a celebration of life service starting at 6 p.m.  Services will be held at the Saline County Fairgrounds in Marshall. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.

Memorial services for Janet N. Getz, 83, of Independence, formerly of Sedalia, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 20 at First Christian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial for Mary L. Arnett, 74, of La Monte, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Prayers of the Rosary will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with visitation to follow from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in La Monte Cemetery.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date for Linda May Hamilton, 68, of Sedalia. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services for Elmo Henry Boatright, 82, of Fayette, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, at Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp, with Rev. Jason Veale officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery, Cole Camp.

Visitation for Betty Jo Christal, 91, of Sherwood, Ark., formerly of Sedalia, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 20 with funeral services following at 11 a.m. at Heckart Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Red Cross. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
