Funeral Announcements for May 6, 2025

Visitation for John K. Fravel, 81, of Sedalia, will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Friday, May 16 at 11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12 p.m.

Visitation for Dennis P. “Denny” Johnson, 75, of Knob Noster, will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 13 at Heckart Funeral Home. Memorial service will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14 at Heckart Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville with full military honors.

A celebration of life for Robert Preston Tucker, 86, of Sedalia,  will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will be at a later date at McKee Chapel Cemetery in Green Ridge.

Funeral service for Judy Ann Sands, 86, of Smithton,  will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will be at Flat Creek Cemetery, Smithton.

The family of Jerry Edwin Page, 77, of Smithton, will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 6 at Heckart Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Smithton Cemetery, with military honors provided by the U.S. Army and VFW Post 2591.

A Celebration of Life for Diane Maxine Gehrke, 70 of Sedalia, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10 at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.

There will be no formal services held at this time for Nicholas R. Franklin, 73, of Sedalia. Arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Visitation for Michael P. “Mike” Hartman, 67, of Springfield, formerly of Sedalia, will begin at 1 p.m. May 8 at Heckart Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Full military honors will be conducted at the funeral home. No burial is scheduled at this time.
