Funeral Announcements for December 29, 2025

A celebration of life for Rita Mae Arndt, 79, of Sedalia, will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5 at Rea Funeral Chapel.

A funeral service for Dorothy Elaine (Towner) Kirkpatrick, 94, Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2 at First Baptist Church, Sedalia. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., and will continue until service time at the church. Arrangements are in care of Heckart Funeral Home.

A private graveside service will be held at Olive Branch Cemetery for Joyce Jean Smith, 83, of Beaman. Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.

The family of Chester L. “Chet” Myers, Jr., 75, of Sedalia, will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9 at Heckart Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

No services are planned at this time for Shirley Ann Homan, 86, of Sedalia. Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.

A funeral service for Shari J. Ream, 68, of Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31 at Rea Funeral Chapel The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
