Funeral Announcements for January 2, 2026

A celebration of life for Rita Mae Arndt, 79, of Sedalia, will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5 at Rea Funeral Chapel.

A funeral service for Dorothy Elaine (Towner) Kirkpatrick, 94, Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2 at First Baptist Church, Sedalia. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., and will continue until service time at the church. Arrangements are in care of Heckart Funeral Home.

The family of Chester L. “Chet” Myers, Jr., 75, of Sedalia, will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9 at Heckart Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Visitation for Everett D. Monteer, 64, of Sedalia, will be held from 10 a.m., to 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3 at Heckart Funeral Home.

Graveside service for Karen Christine Sprinkle Holman, 67, of Sedalia, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5 at Crown Hill Cemetery.
