George Wayne Bartlett, 61, of Sedalia passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at Rest Haven Convalescent Home, Sedalia. He was born on December 5, 1952 in Sedalia, MO a son of Darwin and Marjorie (Rumsey) Bartlett, who preceded him in death.

On January 2, 1982 he was united in marriage to Debbie Campbell, who survives of Sedalia.

He enjoyed building cars and motorcycles and NASCAR.  George also loved fishing and hunting.  He served his country honorably in the US Army during Vietnam, where he received The National Defense Service medal and M16/45 CAL Sharpshooter Award.

Besides his wife, he is survived by eleven children, Larry Jones of Lee’s Summit, Joseph Bartlett, Samuel Bartlett, Stephen Bartlett, Jason Bartlett all of Sedalia, Shaun Bartlett of North Dakota, Sarah Bartlett of Las Vegas, NV, Rachel Glazier, Katelyn Bartlett, Caleb Bartlett and Hope Bartlett also of Sedalia; five sisters, Joyce Fox, Judy Oakes, Pamela Bartlett and Darlene Poindexter, all of Sedalia and Joetta Fisher of Hughesville; four brothers, James Bartlett of Stover, David Bartlett of Windsor, Ronnie Bartlett of Otterville and Thomas Bartlett of Sedalia; and eighteen grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, November 28, 2014 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia with Pastor Dutch Boer officiating.

Family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am until service time at the funeral chapel.

Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be seven sons; Joseph, Stephen, Jason, Shaun, Caleb, Samuel Bartlett and Larry Jones and good friend, Nick Shipley.
