The Sacred Heart Gremlins boys soccer team lost both the JV and varsity soccer games to Marshall (19-2-1) on Thursday evening.

Marshall was first to score in the JV game. The Owls scored again a few minutes into the second half. Junior Triston Byerly scored with about 7 minutes remaining in the game. The final score was 1-2.

Sacred Heart had two games rained out last week and the Gremlins were eager to get back on the field. After Marshall's senior night festivities, the varsity game started off fast and furious. Marshall scored back-to-back goals about seven minutes into the game.

The Gremlins answered with 18 minutes left in the first half as junior Jackson Manning sent a ball to junior George Bain who scored by heading the ball into the net. The score was 1-2 at half time.

In the second half, Marshall netted two more goals, beating Sacred Heart 1-4.

The Gremlins (14-8) play Clinton (5-15) Monday, Oct. 31 in Odessa for the Class 2 District 6 tournament. Game time is 6:45 p.m.
