Grems Soccer Team Takes Fourth At Barstow

The Sacred Heart Gremlins soccer team lost 1-4 to Warrensburg to place fourth in the Barstow Tournament.

Senior George Bain scored a goal just 45 seconds into the game, but the Gremlins were unable to answer Warrensburg's four goals, which were all scored in the first half.

On Thursday, the Sacred Heart Gremlins soccer team suffered a disappointing loss to the host team of the Barstow Tournament.

The Knights scored their first goal about 10 minutes into the game. Sacred Heart struggled with getting into scoring position due to Barstow consistently having 5 or 6 defenders in the box.

Barstow converted a free kick into a goal with 21:47 left in the first half.

Sacred Heart played with determination, especially in the last 5 minutes of the first half, making many shots on goal, but did not score.

The half time score was 0-2.

Barstow scored their third goal on a penalty kick with 34 minutes left in the game.

Final score: Barstow 3, Sacred Heart 0

Sacred Heart played Warrensburg at noon on Saturday for third place.
