Man, what a great time we had at the Rod and Gun Club last Saturday! State Fair Strutters' Outdoor Challenge was a blast.  Our 3-man team finished 3rd. We shot archery, .22 rifle, trap and a timed event called the pop-up challenge, where one man runs up the hill to set up the blind, the 2nd man runs up and shoots out the blind at a target with his bow, and then the 3rd man has to run up, take down the blind and put it in the little small bag it came out of. Not as easy as it sounds. It was great!  It is their main fundraiser and is growing every year.

Our youth hunt is coming up, so get your child signed up by calling me at 596-8545 or stopping by Stone Laser Imaging in downtown Sedalia.  We are only hunting a limited number of kids this year, so don’t delay in getting them signed up.

Here is something new going on: it’s called “KIX for Hix.”  Listen to Kix at 105.7 or online at 8 a.m. till 9 a.m. every Monday and Thursday on Roll Out of Bed with Rob and learn how to get free youth “any deer tags” or go to MO Kids Outdoors on Facebook.  This is a super idea put on by some super people.  Remember our KIX 105 and Huntin' and Fishin' with Harry Trail Cam contest ends on Oct. 14, and our Big Buck Contest is running now until Jan. 15 with all proceeds going to the wounded warrior project.
