A Hazelwood man was killed in a one-vehicle accident that occurred early this morning in St. Charles County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2015 Harley Davidson 1200 T, driven by 41-year-old James R. Johnson of Hazelwood, was on the I-70 ramp to Northbound 94 around 2:30 a.m., and was traveling too fast for the conditions, when the motorcycle struck a curb, ejecting the driver.

Johnson was transported by St. Charles County Ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead at at 3:06 a.m., by Dr. Jonathan Cagle.

The Harley Davidson was totaled and towed by Crash City Towing.
