A woman is facing a dozen charges, including second-degree murder, after prosecutors said she went on a violent rampage that left one man dead and another woman hospitalized.

The Wyandotte County prosecutors office said Alyssa Leanne Arreola, 22, Independence, began the rampage early Wednesday when she stole a vehicle in Kansas City, Kansas.

In the next several hours, Arreola allegedly was involved in two hit-and-run crashes, broke into a woman's home and stabbed her, and then fatally shot a man at 79th Street and Sandusky Avenue before stealing his red Hyundai Tucson. The stabbing victim remains hospitalized.

The vehicle was later located Wednesday night near 14th & prospect in KCMO.

Arreola now faces charges of second-degree murder in the killing of a man, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, three counts of burglary and two counts of theft, as well as and three counts of theft of a firearm.

Authorities have not said what prompted Arreola's actions.
