Area residents will soon have the opportunity to study electrical maintenance skills through State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce training series.

State Fair Community College says people with no electrical experience or companies who want to increase employees’ electrical maintenance skills can now enroll in compact and comprehensive training solutions through The LearningForce.

Participants can choose from either an 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or a 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. session August 6 - 8 or September 16, 18 and 20.

Classes will take place in the Fielding Technical Center, Room 277.

The cost for the training series is $499 per person. It was noted that class size is limited and early enrollment is recommended.

This industry-specific, hands-on industrial electrical maintenance training is described as a way to teach safety procedures (lock out/tag out), alternating current and direct current components, schematic interpretation, wiring diagrams, line diagrams, electrical logic, and more.
