Every time I have it at home I enjoy it, so why don’t I seek out chicken and biscuits at restaurants? I have no acceptable answer. Obviously, my home kitchen creation is a leftover combo. It’s always a winner, but when the biscuits and chicken are gone, the concept drops off my radar. Recalibration is overdue.

In Missouri when you talk about the southern treat of chicken and biscuits you need to seek out a place that features them prominently. Prominent enough to be focus of the menu. Behold, District Biskuits in North Kansas City! They are sure enough about their biscuits that they are part of the name. Not a side product. The focus.

It's about the biscuits

Making biscuits well is an art form, and in a world where we’ve progressed to a culinary point where the type of bread used, and how you prepare it for sandwiches is crucial to grabbing the spotlight and winning taste buds. District Biskuits has unlocked the secret formula.

Originally a pop up, District Biskuits opened up a full time stand alone restaurant in 2022. Word has gotten around about the biscuits and chicken. They have several different ways to enjoy with different flavor profiles. You can flex “The Wonder”. A biscuit and chicken with a fried egg, cheese, and bacon. --Or grab a “Charlie Hustle” with Nashville hot fried chicken, hot honey sauce, coleslaw and pickle slices with their own proprietary DB sauce. For the less adventurous there is the “816 Chicken Biscuit” that’s just a buttermilk biscuit and a fried chicken filet. Discover the magic of the magical combo of chicken and biscuits in Missouri at District Biskuits
