12 Missouri Cemeteries With Stories That Still Give People Chills

I have walked through my share of Missouri cemeteries in my lifetime and I find the experience peaceful. However, there are many that contain twisted histories with stories that still give some people the chills.

Nearly all of my family was born and raised in Missouri and those who have passed were buried there. Fortunately, there are none that I'm aware of that are at rest at these 12 Missouri cemeteries that some claim have unusual happenings.

I find it interesting to walk through some of the older cemeteries in Missouri that in some cases include the final resting places of pioneers. As I read the headstones, I wonder what their life was like and what caused their passing. It's one of those bizarre things that gives me a 10,000 foot perspective on how small some of our troubles are in life when you look at them through the lens of a lifetime.
