Lady Roadrunners Basketball Head Coach Kevin Bucher has announced that Jasmine Williams of Loganville, Georgia, has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend State Fair Community College.

Williams is a 5’9’’ guard who played basketball at South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Georgia, for Head Coach Kidada Holtzclaw.

As a senior, Williams averaged 18 points, dished out 3.3 assists and registered 1.6 blocks per game. She was named her team’s Most Valuable Offensive Player for the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 seasons and the Most Valuable Defensive Player and Player of the Year for the 2017-2018 season. Williams was named to the Colquitt County High School All-Tournament Team in 2016-2017, and she played in the Gwinnett County All-Star Game her senior year.

“Jasmine played on the South Gwinnett team that finished one game away from the final four last year in Class 7A,” said Bucher. “She can score and is the type of point guard we were looking for. We are excited Jasmine is now part of the Lady Roadrunner family.”

Williams also has done well academically. She was named to the honor roll as a senior and plans to study biology and chemistry.
