
Jefferson City Man Arrested for Weapons, Drug Offences
Just before 3:00 Monday afternoon (Dec 10), a 26-year old Jefferson City man was arrested in Callaway County on several felony charges.
The Callaway County Sheriff's Department says a deputy stopped a vehicle on US-54 near State Road F in Fulton for a traffic violation.
During the course of the investigation, a passenger in the vehicle, 26-year old Markus Davis, of Jefferson City, was found to be wanted on felony charges in Cooper County.
Davis was reportedly in possession of controlled substances, marijuana, and a firearm. It was inoted that Davis is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms pursuant to state and federal law.
Davis was arrested and taken to the Callaway County Jail, for a Cooper County felony warrant. He is also be held for offenses in Callway County of felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon, felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and a Jefferson City traffic warrant. Bond was set at $14,716.00.
